For the mathematically advantaged, my newly attained age – after considerable effort and years of patience – exudes an aura of optimism: two 27s (3 × 3 × 3), no nines (3 × 3), no threes, no ones (no ifs, ands, or buts). Twice as vigorous as at 27 or twice as naïve? Certainly just as studious (in graduate school at 27). And, while the rear-view mirror is catching my eye, the road ahead is begging for spirited driving.

Afterword: Wikipedia is informing me that my age now matches the number of colored squares on Rubik’s cube, and is intimately associated with the Golden Ratio (2 sin[54o] = ϕ). Who would have thought…
